Whose ready for some tech news Wednesday? Perhaps you need a break from the political news? But I know you don't need a break from Cubs baseball news!! What a game last night, here's hoping there is some fuel left in the bats and that Hendricks can do what he has done all year. Let's Go! Now onto tech news, yep you guessed it, I have some for you. Let's take a look.

1. White House digital transition. Ok, this is technically NOT political news. It is a piece on how the Presidential transition will now also encompass a digital transition. Remember there are Twitter handles, Facebook and SnapChat.

2. Facepalm emoji. Yes, Apple is adding it. I could think of many instances where this could be used!

3. Tech advances since the Cubs last won the World Series! Things like planes taking off, watching TV, the first computer was bigger than a house, space, Apple computer and more!

4. Shopping via Instagram? Yes, please! Have you ever seen something on Instagram you wish you could purchase easily? Starting next week, 20 US retail brands will be testing out this new feature.

5. Magic wand replaces your measuring tape. Use the InstruMMents 01 to measure the dimensions of any object using a wand and your smartphone.  With a projected launch date of December and a price tag of $149 can get you this nifty new gadget.

6. Chainsmoking robot. This robot that is used at Harvard's Wyss Institute is taking the lab burden off of rats. This robot can chain smoke and help researchers with their study of smoking and its effects on the human body without harming any animals.

7. Amazon chat style story app for kids. Meet Rapids, Amazon's new chat style story app geared at kids 7-12 to entice them to read. The app available on iOS and Andriod is $2.99 a month. The premise is original stories in chat like style. Read original stories one message at a time.
